How do Yuka's analyses differ from other applications?

There may be differences with respect to ratings between Yuka and other cosmetic scanning applications. This doesn't mean that any of these applications are wrong; they just have slightly different methods of rating and Yuka attaches a different level of importance to certain types of risks.

As a precautionary principle, Yuka is generally more strict, and penalizes ingredients with even a suspected risk.

However, generally speaking, all applications strongly penalize the most controversial ingredients.
