Why do rating scales differ according to product?

According to the scoring methodology used, which is based on the Nutri-Score criteria, the beverage (excluding milk) rating scale is stricter for calories and sugar than it is for solids.

Liquids are absorbed quickly by the body so their glycemic indices are higher. This is why liquid calories and sugars are penalized more severely.
